Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Glimpss (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform. Please read it carefully.
1. Who We Are
Glimpss is a Reddit intelligence platform that surfaces high-intent public Reddit discussions relevant to your business. We help you identify conversations worth joining and provide tools to assist with drafting replies. We do not automate posting or publish anything on your behalf.
For questions about this policy, contact us at support@glimpss.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information to provide and improve the Glimpss platform:
Account information
When you register, we collect your name and email address. If you sign up with Google OAuth, we receive your name and email from Google. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext.
Workspace data
To personalise your opportunity queue, we store the configuration you provide: keywords, competitor names, your website URL, subreddits you track, and any preferences you set inside the platform.
Reddit integration
If you connect your Reddit account, we receive and securely store an OAuth access token issued by Reddit. This token is used only to enable in-app reply drafting functionality. We do not access your Reddit private messages, voting history, or any data beyond what is necessary to support the features you enable.
Usage data
We collect standard analytics data including pages visited, features used, and actions taken inside the platform (for example, subreddits tracked, keywords configured, opportunities reviewed). This data is used to improve the product and is not tied to individual profiles for advertising purposes.
Payment data
Billing is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your card number, CVV, or raw payment details. We receive only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your account.
Communications
If you contact our support team, we retain those communications to help resolve your issue and improve our service.
3. Public Reddit Data
Glimpss processes publicly available Reddit content — posts and comments that are visible to any visitor of reddit.com — through the official Reddit API. This is read-only access. We do not collect, store, or process Reddit private messages.
We do not sell, license, or redistribute scraped Reddit content. Public thread data is processed to surface relevant opportunities for your configured workspace and is not retained beyond what is necessary to deliver that functionality.
Reddit users whose public posts appear in your opportunity queue have not consented to being surfaced through our platform. We expect Glimpss users to engage with those conversations in a helpful, community-appropriate way — not to spam or deceive.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Glimpss platform, including personalising your daily opportunity queue.
- Improve AI-based thread classification and intent scoring over time.
- Generate draft reply suggestions based on thread context and your workspace configuration.
- Send transactional emails such as daily brief digests, billing receipts, and security notifications.
- Respond to support requests and resolve issues.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of these policies.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising targeting.
5. AI Processing
Glimpss uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to analyse public Reddit threads, classify buyer intent, assess engagement timing, and generate draft reply suggestions. Here is what you should know about how that works:
- Thread analysis: AI is used to score and label threads based on intent signals, momentum, and relevance to your configured keywords. These labels are suggestions — they are not guaranteed to be accurate.
- Draft generation: AI-generated reply drafts are starting points. They may be incomplete, off-tone, or contextually incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any draft before posting.
- No automated posting: Nothing is published to Reddit without your explicit review and action. Glimpss never posts on your behalf.
- Improvement: Aggregate, anonymised engagement outcomes may be used to improve AI model accuracy over time, subject to the data minimisation principles in this policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and workspace data for as long as your account remains active. If you cancel your subscription, your account data is retained for a short grace period to allow reactivation.
If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days of your request, except where retention is required by law, fraud prevention obligations, or unresolved billing disputes.
To request deletion, email support@glimpss.com with “Account Deletion Request” in the subject line.
7. Security
We apply industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including:
- Encryption in transit using TLS for all data exchanged between your browser and our servers.
- Encryption at rest for sensitive fields including OAuth tokens and account credentials.
- Access controls that restrict production system access to authorised personnel only.
- Regular review of security practices as the platform evolves.
Despite these measures, no system connected to the internet can guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to keep your account credentials confidential.
8. Third-Party Services
Glimpss relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each is bound by its own privacy policy and, where applicable, data processing agreements with us:
- Reddit API: Used to fetch public Reddit content and, where you connect your account, to support in-app drafting features.
- Stripe: Handles all payment processing and subscription billing. Stripe's privacy policy governs how payment data is handled.
- Hosting and infrastructure: Our platform is hosted on cloud infrastructure providers (including Vercel and Supabase). Data is processed and stored on their systems under data processing agreements.
- Analytics: We use privacy-focused, aggregated analytics tools to understand platform usage. No personally identifiable data is shared with analytics providers for advertising.
- AI providers: Thread analysis and draft generation rely on third-party AI APIs. Thread content relevant to your workspace may be sent to these APIs for processing. No personally identifiable user data is included in these requests.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights regarding your personal data. Where applicable under relevant law, these include:
- Requesting a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Requesting correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Requesting deletion of your account and associated personal data.
- Objecting to or requesting restriction of certain types of processing.
- Withdrawing consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@glimpss.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
10. Cookies
We use only essential session cookies required to keep you signed in and maintain your session state. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or any cookies that follow you across the web.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, platform features, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice before the changes take effect.
The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of Glimpss after an updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
